2. Permitted Use

You may use Shrtn to shorten URLs for lawful purposes only. You must not use the service to:

Distribute malware, spyware, ransomware, or any malicious software
Conduct phishing attacks or social engineering
Share illegal content, including child sexual abuse material
Circumvent rate limits or security controls
Impersonate another person or organisation
Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam)

3. Content

You are solely responsible for the URLs you shorten and the content they point to. Shrtn reserves the right to disable any link that violates these terms, without notice.

4. Rate Limits

Unauthenticated users are limited to 10 requests per minute and 100 per hour. Registered users have higher limits. We reserve the right to block IPs that abuse the service.

5. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Shrtn at any time, for any reason, without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shrtn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
